Poll Update + Hyde Park Podcast

Well the poll has only be running for about 4 days – we’re not even half way through – but we’ve already had over 60 votes and things are starting to take shape.

We appear to have three clear front runners – Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Velma Kelly (Chicago) and Elphaba (Wicked) – that are running pretty much neck and neck. If this trend continues, Rachel may just have to play all three. Do I hear anyone complaining?

However considering there is still over a week to go it’s probably too early to discount the closest 3 challengers. Nancy (Oliver) currently lies in fourth and is just 8 votes off the lead; I’ve heard a certain ALW voted for this one. Sorry too little, too late. Scaramouche (We Will Rock You) is just a couple of votes behind in fifth and if you fancy an outside bet Fantine (Les Miserables) is still within striking distance in sixth.

As it’s so close I thought it might be fun to try and predict which roles will finish in the top 4 and in what order. Here’s my prediction:

1st Velma Kelly (Chicago)
2nd Elphaba (Wicked)
3rd Sally Bowles (Cabaret
4th Scaramouche (We Will Rock You)
