Rachel At The Proms

David miraculously managed to get directly in front of the stage and has taken many magical photos and also a video of Rachel’s performances. I don’t know how he does it; I know I’ve used this line before but he really has to be the second luckiest ‘Guy’ I know.

I’m off to Hyde Park any minute where I’m hoping to see Rachel for the first time. Unfortunately she is only appearing in a group number and will probably be on stage for just a few minutes but if I can somehow battle my way past 50,000 people to get close enough to see it I know my trip will be worthwhile.

As there is going to be such a large crowd at this event it’s quite possible I’ll be half a mile from the stage and I’m afraid pictures will be impossible from that range with my very average camera. If anyone is fortunate enough to take any nice photos we’d love to feature them on the blog.

I know David is having a few problems uploading his footage from the Proms - don’t worry we will sort it – so I thought before I set sail for Hyde Park I’d leave you with these fantastic videos I managed to record off the BBC. I knew that red button would come in handy one of these days.

Wow those performances gave me goosebumps. I love Maybe This Time since I saw Sarah do it on IDA and Abi on HDYSAPLM. Rachel did they same thing I love about both those version, she told the story but made it uniquely hers.

The duet was wonderful. Niamh's voice is much better since the end of IDA. Rachel's voice is always stunning.

Oh and Rachel's dress was fab!!
