Rachel To Appear In Farragut North

Rachel has confirmed she will be playing the role of Ida in the U.K. premiere of Beau Willimon's Farragut North.

It will begin performances Sept. 11 prior to an official opening Sept. 13 at London's Southwark Playhouse, for a run through Oct. 5.

Guy Unsworth will direct a cast that also features Aysha Kala, Josh O'Connor, Alain Terzoli and Andrew Whipp. It is produced by Peter Huntley Productions.

In the play, "Stephen Bellamy (Irons) is a bright young man with a ruthless political ambition. At twenty-five, he is already press secretary to a candidate for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. He is self-confident, charismatic and strategically brilliant; a player on a meteoric rise to the top. But when Stephen receives an unexpected phone call at a crucial period in the campaign, a decision made in the heat of the moment unleashes a chain of events even he can't control."
