Liam Neeson's Wife Passes Away

Very sad news this morning as Liam Neeson's wife, Natasha Richardson has died following a skiing accident in Canada.

As patron of Belfast's Lyric Theatre, Liam appeared on stage alongside Rachel in the final performance of 'The Wizard Of Oz' in January 2008 and publicly backed her during IDA.

Coincidentally, Natasha was due to appear in the Broadway production of 'A Little Night Music' (the Sondheim musical which Jessie Buckley is about to accompany to the West End). Natasha's mother is Vanessa Redgrave and both were scheduled to appear in the production.

We wish to extend our sincere sympathies to Liam and his family at this tragic time.

This is so sad for all her family. Such a tragic thing to happen. I have been thinking about her and her family all day.

Very sad news this.Natasha was a major understated talent, never quite got the credit she deserved.I had the pleasure of meeting Liam Neeson one evening a few years back in a bar in Worthing incredibly, out of the public gaze what an unassuming guy he is-this must be absolutely devastating for him.

I didn't know very much about Natasha Richardson and in fact I think I've only ever seen her in one thing - Parent Trap which ironically I only saw for the first time about 2 months ago. However I remember thinking what an elegant, charming lady she seemed (albeit in film character) and I was very sad to hear this news.

Agree Chris -- 'Parent Trap' is one of my daughter's most played DVDs and Natasha really steals the film. It's all the more tragic as apparently prompt medical attention would almost certainly have saved her life.

I finally starting to come to terms with her passing. I didn't realize she had such an effect on me (now i cant even imagine it being someone in my family)

I think as a kid the reason I re-watched the parent trap so many times was because of her lol

she'll always have one of my favorite quotes in films..."he looked at me like i was the BLOODY GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST!!!"

watching that movie will never be the same again unfortunately :(
