A Little Night Music

OK everyone I fully realise that this is Rachel's blog, but I just HAVE to mention Jessie's triumphant debut in 'A Little Night Music' on Saturday night.

I'm not doing a full-blown review as Katie has done a superb job on Jessie's blog, to which I could add virtually nothing. You can read it here:

KATIE'S REVIEW

All I can say is that Rachel will be so proud of her friend -- Jessie chose a wonderful production and a wonderful cast -- and proved herself every inch their equal.

MUSICAL CRITICISM REVIEW

'A Little Night Music' is as different from 'We Will Rock You' as night and day -- a gentle, funny yet moving musical, the incredibly intimate setting of the Menier Chocolate Factory is just perfect for the production and I would highly recommend everyone to go and see it.

We were also fortunate enough to meet Jessie for a few minutes in the foyer afterwards and I was SO pleased that she and Katie managed to meet at last. For me it was the perfect end to an excellent evening.
And you can see the proof in the lovely picture above! More pics on Jessie's blog.

I also want to say a huge, huge thank you to Katie and Jackie for inviting me on Saturday -- it was a thoroughly wonderful evening and a priviledge to be there in such excellent company. After two superb London theatre weekends, I just feel totally spoilt and can't wait to go back.

Oh and thanks also to Rosie for posting her Scaramouche Night photos -- I'm a little disappointed that I wasn't invited to the wedding Rosie, but you do make a lovely couple!

Jessie and Katie both look absolutely gorgeous in that picture!

And David, sorry but the wedding was very hush-hush. I didn't want that group of girls from the stage door the other night who hogged him for AGES to turn up and ruin our special day.

..... kind of really hoping he never reads this!
