Coloured Lights Article + Jessie Videos

I think it's worth featuring part of an article from influential theatre blog 'Coloured Lights', concerning recent casting successes for the IDA girls.
The final five have all gone on to secure major roles in the five months since the show ended.

Niamh starred in 'Only the Brave' and is set to play 'Snow White' in Eastbourne this season, Sam is Sally Bowles in the touring 'Cabaret', Rachel is an absolute triumph in WWRY and now Jessie is heading for a major London show as well.
This little article is extremely complimentary regarding the major talents showcased through IDA and rightly so.

"Jessie Buckley: I expect the casting of Buckley will cause a great deal of excitement among her fans made during her appearances on the BBC’s ‘I’d Do Anything’. Anyone that reads this blog will know that I wrote regularly about the show, and I was a big fan of Jessie’s - however, I didn’t think she was quite ready for the West End stage back in June this year, so it will be very interesting to see how she’s come on in the last 4-5 months. It just shows that winning doesn’t matter in the BBC’s series - the 3 main runners-up (Samantha Barks, Rachel Tucker and now Buckley) have been cast in major roles, either on the West Stage or prominent touring productions."

I'm indebted to 'Coloured Lights' for giving us a major plug shortly after we started the blog and from our stat counter I know we received a large number of hits as a result.

It's well worth taking a look at Jessie's blog today, as there are some fantastic videos of her performances at Tipperary last weekend. Included are 'Maybe This Time', 'As Long As He Needs Me', 'I Still Believe', 'We Never Said goodbye' and 'Don't Rain on my Parade.' Also featured is a great review of the show from super-fan Derrers.

Thanks for that David. I think if the Colured Lights correspondent sees the videos they will see that she's a great deal nearer ready (for anything!!) That's without the Phantom duet being available yet!
