Rachel Heading For Broadway?
This has not been confirmed but according to Wussey.com, Wicked London and Wicked Broadway are set to do the first ever 'cast swap', with ALL principles swapping roles for a 2 week celebration both sides of the Atlantic this summer.
Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman will tread the boards at the Gershswin Theatre on Broadway, while Teal Wicks and Katie Rose Clarke will tread the Apollo Victoria's!
As I said this is not confirmed but Rachel did tweet on Jan 15th that she'd had some exciting news.
As soon as we hear anything official we'll let you know.

What do you think guys? Any truth in this rumour? If true, will you be heading to Broadway?

oh WOW do you think that's it?
but Rachel's tweet did say it wasn't doing wicked somewhere else...
hmmm interesting
This would be incredible news if true -- Rachel did say in her IDA exit interview that her ultimate ambition was Broadway and this just could be it. But as Dan said her recent tweet would suggest otherwise so we'll have to wait and see. And Andy yes, if the 'Wicked Fans Block Grant' can stretch to a plane for us all, I'll definitely be there! :D
I think our budget might just stretch to a swimming costume.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! That would be soooooooo close to me, just a few hours :D
A whole lot closer than getting to London....which we might be doing too! Eek! So excited lol....but prices are so much more expensive here. A ton more lol...
Thanks for the information,
Hannah
*crossing fingers*`
I agree..Rachel did say that she's not doing Elphie anywhere else...HOWEVER!!!!
Project Journal, I'm right there with you! 2.5 hour flight!
Seems like it was all 'Smoke & Mirrors'!
Looks like my first ever trip to the US is still on hold.
unless I won the lottery I wouldn't be able to afford a trip to New York!
but anyway, apparently Louise Dearman said in a twitter chat that it was just rumours.
I really can't think what it would be...do you think it would be a TV spot anywhere... or does that count as doing Wicked somewhere else?
Dan might have a point on the TV suggestion -- Rachel has done some Northern Ireland TV work in the past, and although the shows themselves weren't very impressive, Rachel certainly proved herself in the presentation department. Maybe a John Barrowman/ Michael Ball type format? *Crosses fingers*
but she said it WAS regarding Wicked didn't she?
Yes, she said it was Wicked related, but not album related!
I really want to know it!!!
Do you think maybe they're going to perform on the Royal Variety or princes gala or something like that?!
OMG THEY SHOULD SO DO THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE OLYMPICS! :O
