12th September

Just to clarify as several people have asked, Saturday 12th September is WWRY cast change night and will be Rachel's final performance.

Rosie and some friends are definitely going, so if you get a chance do grab a ticket -- it's going to be a night to remember.

Update From Rachel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Hope your good! And welcome back David from a well deserved break in lovely Turkey-not jealous at all!!! Actually i'm just back from a break myself. Guy and I spent a gorgeous five days in the north of France, near the coast in Dina, the weather wasn't like Turkey I'm sure but it was so nice to be away from it all!

Well it's been a busy and might I say 'tense' few months as it's that time of the year when you have to consider your options and think about the year ahead!
Well as far as WWRY goes I have been asked to stay on as Meat for another contract which is great and I'm very honoured to be asked back, however . . . . I have decided to move on and not do another year at WWRY! but it breaks my heart, it really does cause I have had the time of my life on this show and I would go back at the drop of a hat but, I am a curious being and want to stretch myself in other directions and see what else is out there for me. It could be the biggest mistake I've made though I feel that given the chance I've had in the last year an a half-I have to give it a go!!!

SO far things have been great. I did Hampton court festival last month-which I saw you showed the interview from what's On Stage. That has been one of the biggest highlights of the year for me! Like 'Oh my God oh my God you Guys'!!! To be able to pick 3 of my favourite show tunes and perform them with one of the WORLDS most prestige's orchestra's to an audience of 2,500 people has actually ticked off one of my 'things to do before i die'. I mean it was the most exciting, nerve-wracking experience of theatre I have done so far and I loved every minute of it, and thanks to the girlies who came all the way out to support me that night!-You guy's were great!

Then there was Westend Live-what a buzz that was! I had no idea just how many people were out watching the acts! And I'm glad I didn't cause I would have been a jabbering wreck other wise! The crowds of people were just loving it and were screaming their heads off-we could hardly hear what we were singing. Every year I have meant to go down and see Westend Live but always managed to miss it by a day but this year I had the chance to be part of it, which was so exciting for me and the rest of the cast. And I had no idea that good old Biggins was comparing it-I LOVE HIM so as you saw I just had to get a picture with him on his knee! Aggggh!

Then there's the wedding plans!!! Agggh Never in all my childhood dreams of my Big Day did i think it would be soooooooo exciting! I don't know if this goes for everyone who gets married but I have loved EVERY MINUTE of it! There's still lots to be done but it's all so nearly there and so near!!! Only 12 weeks till I walk up the aisle and say 'I do' to the most amazing person my life! AND I CAN'T WAIT! x

And future plans I hear you ask????? Well I know its an old cliche but, there is 'something in the pipe line' and the reason I can't say much about it is because. . . . . I cant say much about it! So Sorry! but all in good time and hopefully that's what my next blog will be about! So good time for me to sign off, bye for now and thanks for being so supportive!
Thanks again to David, Andy and all you guys who keep reading. Talk soon x Rachel x

Stage Dooring

Just had to feature this great photo which was recently added to the Facebook Group by Linda. Definitely one of the best stage door pics yet. If you think you can beat this one, don't hang around -- Rachel won't be in WWRY much longer!

Also check out the F/B Group for more West End Live pics courtesy of Georgia.

Remember we're always happy to feature any photos you may have.

Thanks

Hi all I'm back after a couple of weeks holiday in (very) sunny Turkey -- temps in the 40s every day.

I want to say thanks to Andy and Rosie for doing such a great job in my absence and a huge thanks to Rachel for her update above.

WWRY will be sad to see her go, but Rachel has had a superb year as Meat and Scara -- Andy and I have seen her in both roles while Rosie has been lucky enough to be there eight times so far.

Cast change night is 12th September this year, so if by any chance you haven't yet seen Rachel in WWRY, make sure you book before that.

We can't wait to see what will be next for Rachel (after the big day of course) but whatever it may be, we'll be there :)

Finally just a little pat on the back for us as Rachel's update has nudged our blog hits over 75000 -- not bad eh?
